I found a new craving! The cinnamon French toast is worth takeout! So goooood! Lots of cinnamon with the right amount of sweetness! I also chugged my watermelon mimosa with the delicious rim! The menus were printed out with hard to read writing but the food was good! That's why I am giving it five stars!

Upon entering the establishment I was greeting with a happy smile, this is very rare nowadays. My wife and I came in for breakfast and enjoyed the Churro Pancakes and Spinach Omelette. For a small place it was filled with people so I suggest reserving seats on yelp prior to coming in. Food is delicious and well portioned. Will definitely come again!

I'm between 3 and 4 stars... like a 3.6 stars?? PORTIONS: filling and hearty PRICE: appropriate, for the most part SERVICE: table side There is a yelp waitlist - get on it fast! We got there at 1030am on a Saturday and the wait was 30-40 min. Also it says specifically on their menu "their food is made in a small kitchen so please BRING YOUR PATIENCE and your appetite" - turnover was about 30 min? We weren't starving so not a big deal for us, but be prepared. AMBIANCE: clean and cute, but loud - voices do carry FLAVORS: Arnold Palmer (4/5) not too sweet - which is a high compliment from an Asian - but kinda small for $5 Guava passion fruit (2/5) kinda watery and again small for the price - you can skip Sausage gravy (4/5) - a little tiny hint of sweet? But that could be a good thing to balance out whatever saltier dish it's going on Red and green rooster + steak + egg (3/5) - steak was dry Fearless rooster burger (4/5) - really good! But it needed some sort of acid to break it up the richness so I stole all the pickled jalapeños from the red and green and then it was perfect. Hash browns (5/5) crispy and fluffy - I got a side of gravy for them and it was decadent! BONUS TIP: they DO have a private lot but parking is limited!

I have driven by the Toasted Rooster Cafe many times but they have been closed. I had the opportunity to have breakfast this morning. My meal was excellent! ²I was greated as I walked in the door and my server came to my table soon after I sat down. She asked if I wanted coffee, brought it & gave me time to peruse the rather extensive menu. I chose the Farm-lette omelet. OMG it was huge, so big in fact I took half home with me! I only have one minor gripe. The background music was a little bit overwhelming and not what I would consider appropriate for the restaurant. This will be on my list of go-to cafes in the Sacramento area

Food was delicious, generous portions served fresh. Service is great extremely welcoming & friendly ( kind of " CHEERS" vibe ) Not cramped, quick with clean up (previous diners must have had little ones) , booths are comfortable & Love the ambient music. Definitely a favorite!

The Toasted Rooster Cafe is a breakfast diner that serves up a hearty breakfast of pancakes or waffles and the like. The food is pretty traditional fare, but they do add their own style to the dishes to give them a more California taste. When you go to open the door, you'll see a sign that states that the food is not fast food, but rather made fresh. This implies that the food here could take longer than expected to come out. I can imagine that on busy mornings this could be true. Thankfully, on slower days and times the food comes out very quickly and I hardly waited for my food before it arrived. Service was phenomenal here. My waitress did a marvelous job getting me everything I needed and I noticed that she did the same for the other tables around me. She deserves good tips and I made sure she knew that I appreciated her work ethic. In terms of food, it's good and filling. It's on-par with what I would expect from a breakfast diner. The portions are good and you get exactly what you order. The one thing that came out way huger was my coffee! I was blown away by the size of it! I can see why people enjoy this restaurant, but there are many like it around town and since I don't live too close I'd probably opt to go elsewhere... but those who are close should definitely enjoy the Toasted Rooster Cafe.

Hands down the most underrated breakfast spot in the Arden area! It was fantastic and well worth the wait. Parking isn't ideal lot fills fast but there's street parking and who doesn't mind a little after meal stroll! The restaurant has some cute signage and trinkets of you keep your eye out. Staff shirts are adorbs! The service was fantastic even when they were super slammed. Kitchen has their system down because food was churning out and hot when served! Highly recommend breakfast tacos - my new favorite meal because who doesn't love tacos! Farmlette omelet is delicious and filling! Comes with a side. Now the large Bloody Mary... make sure you've got a designated driver it's large, they mean it. LOL Cannot wait to come back and explore more of the menu and gab with more locals.
